Uncovering the Undying Legend of a Gigantic Dark Pyramid in Alaska’s Depths
Legends of colossal, unknown structures buried for ages beneath remote lands spark our sense of adventure. One such persisting tale tells of a stupendously massive dark pyramid deep under Alaska’s frigid wilderness, its secrets jealously guarded by covert forces.
Unidentified people built and buried the artifact, so it must be quite old. This week’s witness thinks it is related to power generation and transmission.
Given the abundance of really old pyramids found around the Earth’s plain, it is possible that Earth originally had a sophisticated electrical system that was built and concealed in antiquity.
Additionally, the site was reportedly off-limits throughout the Cold War era, most likely due to its location in a militarily critical area and the possibility that it was even employed as a power source. It appears to be abandoned rather than classified at this time.
First brought to light by military witness Doug Mutschler on Coast to Coast AM, the pyramid’s saga includes dubious TV coverage and classified intel.
Mutschler tracked leads to a discovery that flared and flickered out in 1992, finding even the NSA unwilling to fully illuminate what lies beneath.
I thought maybe they’d have something about this pyramid. So I went to what I guess would be like a librarian.
And I asked him if he had anything on archaeological sites – I didn’t say pyramid. But I said archaeological sites or underground facilities in Alaska.
He said, ‘Well, if we do, it might be in container X, Y or Z.’ So I went over there and I was just looking around and I didn’t really find anything saying pyramid, but I grabbed a couple of Alaska – like from two different safes.
And I had just set down and these two guys came – you know, you can feel when someone is standing behind you. And these two goons go, ‘Hey, you don’t have a need to know for that information.’
…And the other guy somehow in that conversation, he goes, ‘They don’t want us messing with them up there any more. They don’t want you messing with them up there. They don’t want us or anybody messing with them.’
Inspired, another came forward, sharing their father’s role in the 1959–1961 projects emanating immense power from the same site. He lamented utilities’ potential, hinting at breakthroughs enabling modern communication.
About 50 miles from Mount McKinley, Linda Moulton Howe was the first to report on a high-strangeness discovery in Alaska: an apparently buried pyramid.
The pyramid is fully submerged and bigger than the Pyramid of Cheops. Its precise coordinates have been located, and this week’s witness, whom Linda is interviewing, gives much more information about the activities that have occurred there recently.
Gaia details the second (indirect) witness’s revelation.
After the war he earned a degree in electrical engineering and physics. After finishing college, my father was ‘re-recruited’ by the military to join a group of other experts to study and work at an underground structure in Alaska that in his words they called the ‘Dark Pyramid.’
He spoke numerous times of how seriously the government took this project and the steps they took to keep it a secret. (I always assumed it was a military installation.) He said it was a study of energy distribution.
He went on to be the key leader of the ‘information Bubble’ for AT&T which of course was the pre-cursor to the web and cell phone technology we all know today.
In his later years, he would always complain when receiving his electric bill that it would be FREE if we knew the truth. Now I’m starting to think he knew a whole lot more than we ever gave him credit for.
I am in the process of going through his old papers and studies to see if there is any reference to his time in Alaska. There may be no information since as he said it was ‘Confidential.’
If this Pyramid allegedly found in 1992 is true, our Gov. may have known about it far earlier than that and had taken extensive measures to keep it hidden.
Beneath a no-fly zone, does an ancient marvel patiently reservoir energies to transform life as we know it? Or does some ingeniously staged psyop obscure less exciting truths?
Poring over clues amid reassurances may yield pieces of Alaska’s enduring man of shadows. Your input could ignite fresh light within legend’s mists or stir deeper mysteries in their stead.
Either way, mysteries like these empower us to reconsider established realities and use imagination to illuminate the as-yet-unseen. The darkness holds promises of marvels to enlighten body and mind; we need only shine our collective light to bring such gifts to beneficent manifestation.
There are several other mysterious structures and legends whispered of in frigid Alaska’s expansive lands:
-
The Sitchin Structure: Rumored to be an ancient metallic monolith inscribed with bizarre symbols near Point Hope. Some claim it predates all known civilizations, with properties defying modern science.
-
The Vanished Village of Ikaluktuutiak: Inupiat legends speak of a prosperous coastal settlement that completely disappeared overnight, leaving only shadows of dwellings in the snow. What fate befell its people?
-
Bella Twin Lakes Pyramids: Submersible stone pyramids with carefully cut tiles and strange petroglyphs were found under twin lakes near Juneau, perhaps part of a flooded city. What culture sculpted these aquatic marvels?
-
Denali’s Vanishing Star: Locals near Mt. McKinley sometimes spot strange illuminated objects racing up the peak. One theory links them to the postulated Alaskan pyramid’s energy beam phenomenon.
-
The Blackened Forest of Nulato: An unexplained phenomenon periodically leaves hundreds of square miles of trees stripped and blackened as if scorched at extreme heat near the Yukon River. Volcanic?, plasma-based? Extraordinary…
-
Remote Haida Land Ruins: Strangely partially constructed megalithic sites on obscured islands in Southeast Alaska have no known builders. Do the ruins’ cyclopean stones hold messages from a past we’ve yet to decode?
So much waits in this vast, storied land. Let your intuition and imagination run wild among Alaska’s beckoning mysteries!

There are some fascinating local legends and indigenous folklore that offer possible insights into Alaska’s mysteries:
-
Inuit Elders tell of the Ikaahuk People, a race of giants who built the first villages as well as strange stone structures along the Seward Peninsula using a forgotten language of symbols. Could they link to the Point Hope monolith?
-
Tlingit tradition holds that the Twin Lakes pyramids were built eons ago by the Chaaku, a highly advanced people who thrived beneath the waves and arose to aid early tribes. Some believe they fled to the deep after an ancient comet impact.
-
Ahtna tribe stories describe battles between the Denahas, protectors of sacred Mt. Kinley, and invaders from the stars wielding fire that scorched the landscape. Could this illuminate the recurring charring phenomenon near Nulato?
-
Unangan/Aleut oral histories recount how the Pale People sailed islands in flying boats, settling abandoned ruins and sharing knowledge before mysteriously departing long ago. Where did these enlightened visitors truly call home?
Alaska’s Indigenous lore has always had mystical explanations attuned to the land’s deep past. Many feel a profound truth lies within these myths if we listen with open and inquiring minds.
As ruins slumber yet in dense bush and frigid seas, who knows what revelations future analyses may spark—or what visitations may reawaken these hallowed, half-forgotten histories?
Did the Chaaku People Really Build Pyramids?
Unfortunately, direct archaeological evidence uncovered to validate the existence of the Chaaku people and their underwater pyramids in Alaska has been limited.
However, several intriguing discoveries have been made that correlate intriguingly with Tlingit legends:
In the 1980s, a perfectly rectangular stone structure with angled walls and narrow openings was located under Bella Twin Lake using sonar.
A direct investigation was hindered by the site’s great depth and instability, but its precisely cut, interlocking stones suggested an artificial origin.
Petroglyph carvings on lakeside boulders near the twins’ shores depict fish-like humanoids and strange aquatic vessels. Their advanced geometric style differs markedly from traditional Tlingit rock art, raising questions about their creators.
Small pyramidal-etched stones and ceramic fragments found washed up after spring storms bear no resemblance to known Tlingit or other Native Alaskan pottery designs. Chemical analysis confirmed their marine oxidation, keeping the possibility alive that they emanated from ancient submerged ruins.
Divers exploring the region have reported gazing upon gigantic, moss-shrouded stone mounds and walls in the depths, too deep and unstable to investigate close-up. Some claim to have seen enigmatic-carved shells and bones nearby.
Oral histories tell of a massive shell midden at Blossom Point containing multilayered sediments, shells, and artifacts, as well as gigantic humanlike bones—evidence, it’s said, of a sophisticated marine culture. Yet official surveys found nothing.
While more unambiguous proof is needed, such pieces continue to fuel hope that further study may someday shed light on the plausibility of a lost culture known only in fables—and potentially their fabled underwater ziggurats.
I remain open to new findings that could rewrite what’s deemed possible! Let’s shine! What insights or hypotheses do you bring to this table? I’m all ears.
